Minimalist Aesthetic House Design by Bojan Simic – The Orb House


The Orb House located in Melbourne, Australia was designed by Australian architect Bojan Simic. It’s adopts a minimalist aesthetic and abstractness which inspired by the dwellings of ancient Pompeii. From outside, the facade of the house has a futuristic look through the massive glass elevation, you can see the staircase serving to underscore the Orb. The building’s form and footprint is characterized by a curved central spine wall which defines two distinct areas of the house, the living area within the rim and the sleeping area beyond. Aspect and light are dramatically introduced via frame less thermal glass curtain walls utilizing the beautiful glazing technology. And by located on a unique site descending rapidly towards the Yarra River and Yarra Bend Golf Course, it’s affording the home views of the surrounding countryside.
