Stanley Ruiz is an industrial designer and media artist with an extensive background in craft design and production. In his works, he fuses the industrial with the natural to bring about new meaning and interpretation to familiar object archetypes. His designs are characterized by a raw yet modern aesthetic, reflecting folk influences while utilizing handcraft production techniques.
At the New York Gift Fair, Stanley Ruiz has launched some new items of his collection; it is called The Raw Collection. RAW is a collection of objects that highlights the natural beauty of wood – its texture, color nuances, imperfections. The Raw Fabricated using a CNC-milling machine and finished by hand-cut leather and he combines nature, craft, and industrial technology in his designs.
